Inviting applications for State Level Safety Awards to Industries and Workers on the occasion of 45th National Safety Day Celebrations on 4th March, 2016

OAs you are all aware, that the Department is actively involved in propogating the occupational safety and health in the registered factories. In this regard, every year on the occasion of National Safety Day, the department is organising following activities / programmes to propagate occupational safety & health .
  1. Safety March
  2. Taking Safety Pledge / Safety Flag Hoisting
  3. Public functions with State level award distribution, safety exhibition, mass medical camp to workers, etc.
  4. Public awareness through advertisement in paper and electronic media, display of banners / posters, hoardings, etc.
  5. State level seminars.

State Level Safety Awards for Industries  

There are many industries which follow safety standards for their manufacturing activities. Many industries also obtain national and international accreditions for their activities. They also practice standard operating procedures to ensure zero accident. To encourage such industries, state level safety awards are being given for the various categories depending upon the number of workers and for LPG and Oil Industries. Two prizes (first and second) are given to each category. The details are as follows.

 a.                    Best safe industry in Mega industries : - "Proforma-1

b.                    Best safe industry in Large scale industries : -  "Proforma-1

c.                    Best safe industry in Medium scale industries : - "Proforma-1

d.                    Best safe industry in Small scale industries :- "Proforma-1

e.                    Best safe industry in LPG and Oil industry category : "Proforma-2

f.                     Best safe Construction Project / Site : "Proforma-3

     State level Safety awards for workers

 To achieve zero accident or to get national and international accreditions, it is very much essential the active participation and involvement of workers. There are many workers who averted serious accidents provided useful suggestions to prevent accidents or to improve the safety standards in the industries. To encourage such noble workers the state level safety awards are being given in the various categories. Two prizes (first and second) are given to each category. The details are as follows.

a.    Best safe worker in Mega industries : 2 awards

b.    Best safe worker in Large scale industries : 2 awards

c.    Best safe worker in Medium scale industries : 2 awards

d.    Best safe worker in Small scale industries : 2 awards

e.    Best Safe worker in LPG and OIL Industry : 2 awards

 Filled applications along with necessary documents shall be submitted on or before 04.02.2015 to the following address.
